Custom Program Design

A waste program built around what your property generates: streams, containers, placement, schedule, and staffing. Designed and then run by Green Glove Heroes.

A program built for your property

Green Glove Heroes designs waste programs for multifamily properties based on what each property generates: the right streams, container types and counts, placement, collection schedule, and on-site staffing. Programs are built from measured conditions at the property, satisfy SB 1383 without over-serving, and are then run by our own crews six days a week. Plan on about 90 days from design to a dialed-in system.

Many waste programs are inherited

In an inherited program, the hauler put containers where the last hauler had them and kept whatever schedule the contract called for, and the compactor is there because it came with the building. We design each program around the needs and operational demands of the individual property we service.

What a designed program specifies

The program sets out which streams the property needs and your city requires, along with how many containers of each type and size you'll have. It places them based on how residents walk the property and sets a pickup frequency for each stream. It spells out what our porters do on each visit and how the enclosure needs to change, if it does. Bulk gets its own section on what it looks like and how it's billed.

Designed around your property and the residents' needs

When recycling sits a hundred feet farther away than trash, the layout has already decided what residents will do. We design from the path a resident walks to the container, since that's where diversion and contamination get decided.

Built to satisfy SB 1383 without over-serving

Where the law says you need organics collection, we set it up and size it to what your property throws out, and the resident education goes through your city, which we coordinate. Your program is built to meet the rules from the first day of service, and nobody's paying to haul containers that go out empty.

Then we run it

The same company that wrote the program executes it, adjusts it as the property changes, and documents it every day.

One program across a portfolio

A North Bay affordable housing organization manages more than 65 properties through a single Green Glove Heroes program, coordinating multiple haulers and holding monthly SB 1383 audits with city and county representatives. It reports a 4x return. The standards are the same at every site; the containers, placement, and schedule are set property by property. North Bay portfolio

What we need from you to start

  • Time to walk the property during a complimentary on-site visit.
  • Your last 12 months of hauler invoices.
  • Your current container list: sizes, counts, and pickup days.
  • Any notices from your hauler or city.

We build your proposal from all of that.
