Dumpster & trash enclosure design and build coordination

We plan the dumpster and trash enclosure your Northern California multifamily property needs, then coordinate the licensed contractor who draws it up, builds it, and pulls the permits.

Enclosures designed from real service data

Green Glove Heroes designs dumpster and trash enclosures for multifamily properties across Northern California and coordinates the licensed general contractors who build them. We size the enclosure from what your property generates and write what it needs to survive daily service and stay clean. Green Glove Heroes is not a contractor, so the drawings, the build, and the permits are done by a licensed general contractor while we coordinate the project for you.

We plan it and coordinate who builds it

A contractor builds to the drawing and the code, so when the drawing is wrong, the enclosure comes out wrong too. We write the requirements from six days a week of watching your enclosure in service. The licensed contractor turns them into drawings and builds it, and we coordinate the work.

What we ask for

We size the footprint for the container counts your hauler and your city require (organics too) and leave room to move them around. A porter has to be able to open the gates with a cart in one hand, and the truck needs clearance to get in. Drainage keeps wash water out of the storm drain, and the lighting and sightlines are there to discourage dumping. We call for bollards, wall protection, and a floor that holds up under a front-loader, and the contractor engineers them.

What a dumpster enclosure costs

The cost depends on size, materials, gates, drainage, and your jurisdiction's requirements. If the enclosure is sized wrong, you lose more every month than you saved by building it cheap.

Sized from your service data

We size it from your volume and your hauler's equipment, and we work your turn calendar into it too.

Service keeps running during the build

We set up an interim trash area and coordinate it with your hauler. Our porters stay on schedule the whole time, so residents always have somewhere to go.

Codes the enclosure has to meet

CALGreen, California's green building code, requires multifamily housing with five or more units to provide readily accessible areas for recycling and organics that serve the whole building, and your city enforces its own version of it. Drainage is in our requirements because Bay Area stormwater rules keep wash water out of the storm drain. Your city's enclosure standards sit on top of both. How the project runs

  1. 01We measure what the property throws out and how your hauler services it.
  2. 02Our requirements cover footprint, gates, drainage, lighting, and protection.
  3. 03A licensed general contractor draws it up, quotes the build, and pulls permits.
  4. 04The city conversation is ours to handle, and so is setting up an interim trash area with your hauler.
  5. 05Your service keeps running during the build, and our porters reset the new enclosure once the contractor is finished.

Designing for new developments

On new construction, we design the waste area before the site plan is final, so it doesn't end up in the leftover corner.

Questions

We plan them, and a licensed general contractor draws them up, builds them, and pulls the permits while we coordinate. Green Glove Heroes is not a contractor.

You can, and the contractor will build whatever's drawn. We write the requirements from your property's service data and your hauler's equipment, so the drawings start from how the enclosure gets used.

It needs to hold the containers your hauler and city require, organics included, with room to move them and clearance for the truck. We size it from measured volume.

It depends on size, materials, gates, drainage, and jurisdiction. You get our requirements and the contractor's quote before you commit to anything.

A porter should be able to open them one-handed with a cart. They need to swing clear of the hauler's approach and lock, and they have to survive being hit.

The licensed contractor pulls the permits, and we coordinate the process and the conversation with the city.

Yes. SB 1383 requires organics collection, and CALGreen requires multifamily housing with five or more units to provide space for recycling and organics, so we size for all three streams.

Yes. We set up interim waste service with your hauler, and service continues through the build.
