Training your city stands behind

Green Glove Heroes coordinates waste training for residents and staff at multifamily properties across Northern California. The zero-waste coordinator from your city or hauler leads each session with that jurisdiction's own approved materials, and our team talks about what our crew does on your property every day. SB 1383 asks you to provide this training, and it's also what makes your containers work.

Why your jurisdiction leads the training

Your city or county sets the sorting rules for your property, and those rules change from one place to the next, so the green bin in Fremont takes different things than the green bin in Santa Rosa. Residents also trust their city more than they trust a vendor. We bring the people who write the rules out to your property and let them do the explaining.

We've run a lot of resident training. We work closely with your hauler's Zero Waste team so the information residents get is detailed and accurate, and we'll help you source brochures for your tenants and coordinate on-site training sessions for your staff and residents.

What we cover

  1. 01We schedule the session and work out the details with your city's or hauler's zero-waste coordinator
  2. 02Your jurisdiction's own approved materials, which we source for you
  3. 03Residents hear from us what our porters do at your enclosure
  4. 04Signs at the enclosure that match what residents were taught
  5. 05Training for your property and maintenance staff, too
  6. 06We show up to resident events to help staff a table with city flyers, and we coordinate food donations

Training for property teams

Residents bring their questions to your leasing and maintenance staff first. In each city we service, we work with the local Zero Waste specialists to help coordinate and set up on-site sustainability training for your staff and your residents. Your team learns what the city enforces and what the hauler photographs, and they come away knowing who to call.

Resident events

When your property runs an event, we support it with staffing, a table, city flyers, and help coordinating food donations. Our porters attend local training sessions to make sure the way we sort meets all regional requirements and supports these initiatives.

Training works when the containers already make sense

A recycling cart residents can't reach, or an organics bin that's always full, will undo any amount of education. We do training last, once the program is designed and the containers are right, because that's when it sticks.

Why this matters financially

The truck photographs every bad bag, and each one turns into a contamination fee. Residents who know the rules put fewer bad bags in the bins, and our porters catch the ones that still get through. Neutralize AI truck penalties

Training questions

The zero-waste coordinator from your city or hauler leads it, using that jurisdiction's approved materials. We coordinate the day and talk about what our crews do on the property.

We source your city's own brochures and signage, and we keep the signage at your enclosure matched to the rules residents were taught.

When they move in, and again whenever the city changes its rules or contamination starts climbing. With turnover the job is never finished, which is why our porters sort every day no matter what.

Yes. We train them with the same local Zero Waste specialists.

Yes. For events your property runs, we provide staffing, a table, and city flyers, and we coordinate food donations.

We do not presently run them as standalone events. We support the events your property runs.
