Bill, Cost & Contract Analysis

We audit your waste bills and hauler contract line by line to find overcharges, oversized service, and recoverable credits.

Every line of the bill, audited

Green Glove Heroes audits multifamily waste bills and hauler contracts line by line. We find overcharges, oversized service levels, compounding surcharges, and recoverable billing credits, then dispute and renegotiate on your behalf. Because we don't collect your recurring waste, our only interest is a smaller bill. An 862-unit Fremont community recovered $21K+ in credits this way.

What's on a waste or hauler bill

Base service is priced by container and pickup frequency, and that's only where the bill starts. On top of it you'll find extra pickups and overage charges, contamination fees, and fuel and environmental surcharges that compound. Rate escalators hide in the contract itself, so we read every line of both.

Billed but not delivered

Missed pickups you were charged for. Return trips you didn't need. A container that was removed and kept billing. Our daily proof-of-service photos give you the evidence to dispute charges for missed services or unnecessary return trips.

Your hauler's rates are public

In many franchise areas, a public rate schedule sets what your hauler can charge. In central Contra Costa County, for example, the RecycleSmart board approves maximum rates every year, which take effect March 1, and the same rules say you get a credit when a missed pickup isn't collected by the next business day. So you can check every line on your bill against a published number. RecycleSmart 2025 rate FAQs

What to send us

  • The last 12 months of hauler invoices, plus your hauler contract or the city's rate schedule if you have it.
  • Your current container list: sizes, counts, and pickup days.

We'll compare all of it with what we see during the complimentary on-site visit.

Right-sizing the service level

Rohnert Park cut its hauler bill 39% when we matched its service to what the property generates.

The rate agencies themselves point to smaller containers and fewer pickups as the way to bring a bill down. RecycleSmart's rate guidance tells commercial accounts that a smaller landfill container and less frequent collection will lower the bill, as long as recycling and organics are sorted properly, and our porters do that sorting every day. Reading the contract before it renews

We check your contract for auto-renewal terms, notice windows, rate escalators, and minimum terms, and we flag what's coming before the renewal date passes.

How we charge for bill analysis

Some auditors take a percentage of what they recover. At Green Glove Heroes, we include bill analysis in the premium service tier, so it comes with the rest of our work.

Questions

If your bill has gone up every year while your service stayed the same, or nobody has ever reviewed it line by line, it's worth a look.

It's a line-by-line review where we compare your hauler invoices and contract with the service you received and the service your property needs.

Often, yes. Billed-but-undelivered service and incorrect charges are disputed, with our photo record as evidence. Fremont recovered $21K+.

No. Whether we bill separately for bill analysis depends on your tier, and the premium service tier includes it.

Yes. Your dedicated Hauler Advocate handles disputes and service-level renegotiations directly with the hauler.

In many franchise areas, maximum rates are set in a public schedule. What changes your bill is the service level: container sizes, counts, and pickup frequency, plus billing errors and credits you're owed.

No. We got every result on our site while the property kept its existing hauler.
